Sun Protection Lotion 2 oz. - WHILE SUPPLIES LAST

(1 customer review)

100% natural mineral oxide to protect and soothe. Effective at blocking both UVA and UVB rays so they cannot be absorbed into the skin.

In stock (can be backordered)

Sun Protection Lotion with Minerals, 2 oz. travel size.

Unlike chemical-based sunscreens that use Avobenzone, Oxybenzone, Homosalate, or Octinaoxate, mineral-based sunscreens are safer for you and our environment. Chemical sunscreens take up to 30 minutes to be effective as they need to be absorbed into the body, and work by absorbing the sun rays into the body before breaking them down. Mineral sunscreens do the opposite; they block the sun rays from entering the body by providing full-spectrum coverage.

How To Use

Gently massage lotion where sun protection is desired on the body. Mix with our Summer Body Oil for easier application.

Ultra-Pure Deionized Water, Safflower Oil, Non-Nanoparticle Size Zinc Oxide Minerals, Capric/Caprylic Triglycerides, Vegetable Emulsifier, Vegetable Stearic Acid, Kosher Glycerin, Coconut Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Neem Oil, Ginger Oil, Black Willow Bark Extract, Almond Extract, Rosemary Oil Extract, Vitamin E (Tocopherols), Tea Tree Oil. 2 oz.

My body and today’s strong sun were a test for Daisy Blue Naturals Sun Protection Lotion and Summer Body Oil (used together). And they passed with flying colors.

I’m a natural auburn-haired person, which means I freckle and I burn in the sun. I can burn in less than ten minutes of indirect sunlight through a car window. That’s how sensitive my skin is. And when I burn, I peel and might get a base coat of slightly darker beige, but I don’t tan. Ever.

In the past, when I use sunblock, I’ve had to slather on SPF 50+, using gobs of the stuff, making my skin sticky. And even then it didn’t always work. I hated applying it, so I just avoided the sun. And the outdoors. And summer in general.

And then I bought Daisy Blue Naturals Sun Protection Lotion and Summer Body Oil. I applied one pea-sized drop of Sun Protection Lotion, mixed with two drops of Summer Body Oil, to my face. I used a total of four more pea-sized drops of lotion with eight more drops of oil and applied it to my shoulders, upper arms, and my chest.

Then I put on a tank top and I went outside. Into the sunlight. I worked in the yard, mowed the lawn, sat in the sun. I was outside in mostly direct sunlight for at least five hours.

Eight hours after application, without reapplying, here are my results.

My face: very slight burn, but I also was sweating profusely from my forehead and hairline, and I probably should have reapplied product. But to only have a very slight burn after all that time in the sun and all that sweating? Amazing!

    Chest: Zero burn.

My shoulders: I almost never wear tank tops, so that was a lot of white, virgin skin I was exposing. Zero burn. None.

    My upper arms: Zero burn.

My forearms: I did NOT apply product to my forearms, which are heavily freckled and the closest I’ll ever get to tan. (This was part of the test.) Result: mild sunburn. Definite red. Slightly sore. Will need aloe vera gel.

Conclusion: an unbelievably small amount of Daisy Blue Naturals Sun Protection Lotion and Summer Body Oil mixed together prevented sunburn 100% everywhere it was applied, unless it was wiped/washed off with heavy perspiration. Reapplication is needed for only those areas.

I am absolutely delighted with this and I can now look forward to a summer outside without fear of burning!
